Booking & Cancellation Policy

At Aligned Foot Clinic Podiatry, we understand that plans can change. We ask patients to provide as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice

Appointments cancelled or rearranged with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a late cancellation charge.

Missed appointments

Appointments missed without notice (“no-shows”) may be subject to a missed appointment charge.

Any applicable cancellation or missed appointment fee will be communicated at the time of booking and/or before your appointment.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect our ability to offer future appointments.

Running late

If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible on 01625 461407.

We will always try to accommodate you where possible. However, if you arrive late, your appointment may need to be shortened to avoid delaying the next patient. In some circumstances, if there is insufficient time to provide safe and appropriate treatment, the appointment may need to be rearranged and a cancellation fee may apply.

How to cancel or rearrange

To cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us on:

Telephone: 01625 461407

Please contact us as early as possible to avoid cancellation charges.

Appointments & Clinical Care

Appointments at Aligned Foot Clinic Podiatry are provided by Malek Abdo, an HCPC-registered podiatrist and member of the Royal College of Podiatry.

Every patient is assessed individually. Treatment recommendations will depend on your symptoms, clinical findings, medical history and individual circumstances.

Where a condition falls outside the scope of our services, or where further investigation or specialist medical care is considered appropriate, we may recommend referral to another healthcare professional.

Hygiene & Infection Prevention

Aligned Foot Clinic Podiatry maintains appropriate infection prevention and control procedures within our clinical practice.

Reusable clinical instruments are appropriately cleaned, sterilised and processed between patients, while single-use items are disposed of safely after use.

Clinical waste, including sharps and other healthcare waste, is handled and disposed of using appropriate procedures and in accordance with applicable requirements.

Our clinical practice follows relevant professional guidance and applicable HCPC requirements.

Safeguarding

At Aligned Foot Clinic Podiatry, the safety and wellbeing of our patients is extremely important.

We follow appropriate safeguarding procedures for children and adults who may be vulnerable or at risk of harm.

Where there is a safeguarding concern, information may need to be shared with appropriate professionals or authorities where necessary to protect the patient or another person.

Children & Young People

Children and young people will be treated in an appropriate, supportive and child-friendly environment.

A parent, guardian or appropriate adult may be required to attend or remain present during an appointment depending on the child’s age, circumstances and the nature of the assessment or treatment.

Where consent is required, this will be obtained in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.
